As some of you may know, I was the original author of the wp-contactform plugin for Wordpress back in 2004. I took my inspiration from PhotoMatt’s contact form and turned it into a plugin that everybody could use. In late 2005 – early 2006, spammers began to exploit the form and I began to run out of time to update the plugin. For a while, there were no updates and then others began to develop alternatives. The original wp-contactform is currently managed by Johannes Ries. I would also like to extend my thanks to everyone who in some way helped me develop the original wp-contactform.
